“Diesel: a fuel of unlimited potential. To the modern man, it is not unlike the sacred panacea that the alchemists of yore devoted their entire lives to producing. With it, mankind has been able to achieve technological innovations once thought impossible. Truly, we are only limited by the extent of the human imagination.” - Francis Wilhelm, 1942
The year is 1958. The city is Tokyo. Allied occupation officially ended two years ago, yet the impacts of the war and a looming American industrial complex can still be felt in the country.
Exhaust from diesel engines have enveloped the city in its characteristic smog. Neon signs light the skies at night, and the blaring of Rock & Roll music signify the beginning of a new era. The country is rapidly changing, and its people are rushing to adapt to these changes.
Gang presence is rampant. There has been an increase in violent crimes and territorial disputes, and with it came an increase in vigilantism. Masked figures have been appearing, attempting to put an end to these disputes.
This is the setting of our story. Follow along as our characters live their lives in this chaotic city. This is not a story of good vs evil. It is a story of love and compassion, how the lack of it can cause others to sink to unprecedented depths, and how the presence of it can cause others to soar to unfathomable heights.
